@really – there’s numerous solutions to the problem. At the moment I’ve installed a couple of VM’s. My issues may be different but I hardly think they’re THAT unusual. Cross platform GUI development? Using 2 major GUI toolkits (Qt & GTK)? The use of several Python libraries that seem to work fine on Windows, Linux and even ARM (my mobile phone)

My point is that all of the above wouldn’t happen on Linux. Macs complicate development if you want to do anything even slightly deviating from the common path.

Use Homebrew.

Try Bootcamp. Install Windows and w/e Linux Distro you love.

idk, I couldn’t disagree with you more.

I think macs are just bad for you because of the rather ‘interesting’ choices you have for prospective development.

If you read something you may or may not have some suggestions . ie what we express . It doesn’t means we are loosing something .

The mere fact that the Symfony and other fanboys are visiting this site and commenting here is proof enough that they’re not satisfied with their own frameworks. Trying to win converts here isn’t going to work. We’re happy with these lightweight alternatives.
